This piece was created in November 2004. Its dimensions are 9 inches by 7.5 inches. It is made out of wood and glass display box, possum bones, muskrat skull, yellow and blue butterfly wings, preserved false death's head cockroach (blaberus discoidalis), preserved bird egg with preserved beetle, various plant material and mosses, y-shaped tree branch, rusted nails, aged cotton gauze, and painted on Astrological and Alchemy symbols. The bones have been given a coating of ash.
To me this sculpture is saying that "This is a magical creation. This sculpture's subject can predict the future, however the viewer doesn't know how it does it. It's eyes and mouth are shut and it's hands are nailed down, but it can see into the future." I will leave the interpretation to the viewer and allow them to draw their own conclusions.
This Necrosculpture was featured at the Art Soiree art show and the Forecastle 2005 art show.
