Justice
|
|
This piece was created in 2002. Its dimensions are 9 inches by 7 inches. It is made out of rat bones, crow feathers, canine claws, canine fangs, and a wooden base. I wanted to create a variation on the Sigil of Baphomet, the symbol of Satanism. I also wanted to use the theme of Lex Talionis (justice). In The Satanic Bible, written by Anton LaVey, it states, "Justice is served by fang and claw", hence the use of canine fangs and claws. This sculpture took many months to create. I had to fashion the bones by carving and grinding then into the small design of the Baphomet with Hebrew lettering. It is not for sale. This sculpture was given as a gift; it is in a private art collection. Click on the thumbnails to see the bigger image. |
